Since the beginning of my research career, I always accepted responsibilities and challenges. I was constantly extending my scientific interests starting from the physics of elementary particles and nuclear physics towards the application of learned methods to the life sciences. I have enjoyed opportunity to collaborate with researchers from different scientific areas covering the wide spectrum of fields such as pure theoretical physics, physical chemistry, biophysics and biology, and gained a priceless experience in neutron and X-ray scattering experiments.
In the last couple of years I have become more focused on the models of biological membrane and its inner structure and very recently also in the lateral organization of clusters and inhomogeneities in the membrane. It is very rapidly growing field of research in modern biophysics with a high impact on our understanding of different biological issues related to the stability of cell and communication between the cells. Such an understanding necessarily improves also the procedures in pharmacology and medicine and eventually will help to increase the quality of human life. It is my hope to be a part of this big picture.
