Registrant RequirementsIt is assume registrants have a knowledge of basic crystallography, some prior use of powder diffraction equipment and experience in using MS-Windows based computers. It would be valuable to be familiar with the contents of Fundamentals of Powder Diffraction and Structural Characterization of Materials, Second Edition by Vitalij Pecharsky and Peter Zavalij (Springer, 2nd ed., 2009, Softcover, ISBN: 978-0-387-09578-3. While probably not affordable by a personal student budget, it would probably be available in university libraries or the reference shelf of powder diffraction laboratories. Hardcopies of talk notes, GSAS Manual and Tutorials manual with CD-ROM will be provided to all participants as part of the registration cost. CD-ROM and notes for the PDF/Total Scattering tutorials are also provided as part of the registration cost. Computers running MS-Windows will be provided but participants can bring their own MS-Windows based laptops to use as well. Registrant Deadline
